New level 4 Integrative counselling course launching September 2025
This is a two-year Diploma in Integrative Counselling grounded in CPCAB’s practitioner development and therapeutic change model, utilizing Petruska Clarkson's 'Five Relational Model' as the core theoretical framework.
The course covers the five key relationships: the working alliance, transference dynamics, the reparative and developmental relationship, the real (person-to-person) relationship, and the transpersonal connection.
You'll gain expertise as a Counsellor through a counselling placement at an agency, under supervision, where you'll need to complete 100 supervised client hours.
The course also requires a minimum of 40 hours of personal counselling over the two years.
Clarkson’s relational model underpins the course, incorporating elements from Psychodynamic, Humanistic, and Intercultural approaches.
In the second year, you'll be introduced to short-term and solution-focused therapies, including Motivational Interviewing, NLP, and CBT.
Throughout the program, you'll explore key topics such as identity, diversity, mental health, depression, anxiety, loss and grieving, addictions, co-dependency, and eating disorders.
